Terms & Conditions

Any use of the "Supplier" website is subject to the user agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. 

These conditions shall apply to all online transactions between Manning’s Emporium (“The Supplier”) and any person, firm or company (“the Purchaser”) placing an order online with "The Company" for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods (“the Goods”). Manning’s Emporium, by accepting any order for Goods from the Purchaser, agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such Goods at the price stated on "The Supplier" website and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of "The Supplier" stated herein.

All orders placed through our website will be subject to our acceptance of the order. When you submit an order to us on our website, you will receive an order confirmation email/invoice of this order saying that we are processing your order.  This email does not constitute acceptance of the order by us. Your order will be accepted by us (and a contract will then be formed between us) when we despatch the goods to you. We reserve full right, entitlement and title to the goods, notwithstanding their delivery, until such time as payment has been processed for that delivery. 

You should check your e-mail for accuracy and let us know immediately if there are any errors. If your order does not deliver to you as a result of inaccurate address information being supplied we will not be liable to provide a replacement or refund.

You appoint Manning’s Emporium in respect of each order you place with us on an irrevocable basis as your agent for the purposes of us giving instructions on your behalf in relation to section 84 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act 1983 and thereby permit postal packets addressed to you to be opened, delayed, detained and/or for the due delivery of the postal packet to you to be interfered with or prevented.

Please note, you are responsible for all purchases made on your account and are personally liable for the full outstanding balance.

Processing your orders and secure payment 

Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled.

All prices quoted on this site are in Euros. We accept payment online and we use Stripe as our method of receiving payments which allows you to pay through your Stripe account or simply using your credit card. 

You may also pay 'offline' via Cheque (made payable to Manning’s Emporium) or Bank Transfer. You may also phone us on (027) 50456 and pay by Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit.

It is possible that we won’t be able to accept your order, or part of it, for the following reasons:

  • Your payment failed.
  • We made a pricing or product description error. If this is the case we will contact you to resolve the issue.
  • We are out of stock of an item but the website indicated otherwise. In this case we will contact you to see if you wish to wait until the item is back in stock, substitute the item, or remove the item from your order.

A credit account may be opened by corporate clients, subject to trade references and application approval, on the strict condition that payment is made within 30 days from date of invoice. Please contact us by phone on (027) 50456 to set up a credit line.

Delivery and delivery charges

All address information must be accurate including the postcode where appropriate and the recipient's telephone number. We cannot accept responsibility for late or non-delivery if the recipient's address and telephone details are insufficient or incorrect. The goods shall be deemed to have been delivered, when the courier obtains receipt of the goods confirmation from any person at that address. 

It is the customer's duty to ensure that someone will be home to sign for the gift, which will be delivered by third party couriers. Where the courier is unable to find a person to accept delivery, a calling card will be left for the recipient to contact the courier and arrange to pick-up from the local depot or agree an alternative delivery time or alternative location at the discretion of the courier. If the recipient fails to make contact in good time, the goods are returned to us and another delivery charge will be made for re-delivery to the original or an alternative address. The purchaser will also be charged for any items, which have become unsuitable for sale and need replacing such as perishable items such as cheese which have short shelf lives. 

We employ third-party courier services to deliver your gifts and hampers. Although customers can request a specific delivery day, and we provide an indication of typical delivery times, specific delivery times or dates cannot always be guaranteed. Claims for non-delivery must be made within 20 days. 

We offer standard delivery via An Post, expected delivery time is 3 working days

Returns, Refunds, Cancellations & Damages 

 Items purchased at Manning’s Emporium website can be returned to Manning’s Emporium, Ballylickey, Bantry, Co. Cork for exchange/store credit within 14 days of the date of sale.


We are dedicated in ensuring all our gifts arrive with you in perfect condition. In the rare event of a gift being damaged, please contact us within 3 days of the courier confirming safe delivery of the order, by telephone, or email. Damaged Goods must be returned to us suitably packaged. We will replace or refund the items concerned. 

Unwanted Goods 

Unwanted goods can be returned within 7 working days of receipt, as long as the goods are in perfect condition, and the packaging remains in an “as new” state. Both the despatch and return costs will be the customer’s responsibility, and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied goods. We recommend using a reliable insured courier, or registered post, to return the item. In accordance with the European Directive on Distance Selling, perishable goods or customised goods made according to custom specifications may not be returned. 

Please contact us by telephone, or email us at info@manningsemporium.ie to let us know that you would like to return an item. You will then need to print and fill out our Returns Form and return it with the unwanted item. All returns must be packaged to prevent damage, with the Returns Form enclosed. After we have received the goods, a refund will be made to the purchaser's credit card, this cost excludes the cost of delivery. 


In accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive you have the right to cancel the contract up to 7 working days starting the day after delivery. In this situation please contact us to let us know you would like to cancel your order and then please return the goods to us. The goods must be unused, in perfect condition, & in their original packaging. 

You may cancel an order up to 24 hours before the requested delivery date. However, if we receive notice of your cancellation later than 24 hours before the delivery date, you may be too late to halt the delivery. To cancel your order if the goods have already been dispatched, you must notify us by telephone or by email.


Whilst every effort is made to supply items as specified, the contents of each gift are subject to availability. Manning’s Emporium reserves the right to substitute any items where appropriate, and guarantee that all replacements are of equal or greater value. Plates, glasses and other props shown in photographs may not be included in a hamper unless specifically listed. Wine vintages and labels may vary from those shown. 


Sale of Alcohol Items containing alcohol can only be ordered and delivered to those 18 years of age and over. 

Force Majeure 

Manning’s Emporium will exercise every reasonable effort to meet the requested despatch date. We shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship resulting from any cause beyond our reasonable control, such as, but not limited to, compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labour disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots. 

Data Protection and Privacy Policy 

At Manning’s Emporium we are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. 

We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service. At no time will we provide any information about you to third parties. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. Only by signing up for our newsletter will you receive emails other than correspondence regarding your order. We promise that we will send no more than 6 emails per calendar year. You have the option to remove your name from our mailing list at any time by sending us an email. 


In the event that you have a complaint please notify us in writing via email to: info@manningsemporium.ie. Any comments you have will be welcomed by us, taken very seriously and treated in the strictest confidence and dealt with immediately. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and give you a timescale for resolving your complaint and keep you informed of progress. 


All designs, text, graphics and their selection and arrangement on this site are the copyright of Manning’s Emporium. Any use of materials on this site without Manning’s Emporium without prior written consent is strictly prohibited. See Manning’s Emporium 2012.

Online Presence 

No warranty is given by Manning’s Emporium that their web site will be constantly online or free of defects and errors at any time.

We will investigate any issues as soon as they are brought to our notice and we endeavour to respond to all email enquiries within one working day. 

These Terms and Conditions and any Contract which shall be entered pursuant thereto by Manning’s Emporium shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Ireland which shall govern the relationship between the parties exclusively.   In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the placing of any order pursuant thereto with Manning’s Emporium and/or the performance of any contractual obligation arising from the placing of an order, its existence, validity or termination or the breach thereof the parties shall use their best endeavours to settle such disputes.   To this effect they shall negotiate with each other in good faith and understanding of their mutual interest.  If however an amicable solution satisfactory to both parties cannot be found and a competent Court within the jurisdiction of the Republic of Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any claim or dispute which may arise out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the placing of any Contract with Manning’s Emporium pursuant thereto and the relationship between the parties established by it.
